Catty has a Research and Development staff dedicated to developing innovative products to meet customer and market demands. The R&D process follows a “gated” system which allows for a full understanding of customer requirements before developing new technologies followed by verification of trials and finally ramp-up.

Catty Engineers understand the latest chemical and mechanical technologies and how these can be utilized to improve current product constructions. In many situations, we pass along improvements to product structures to our customers that improve processing speeds, reduce waste, and enhance the overall appearance of products.

The Catty R&D group meets regularly to review the status of projects related to:

• New product development
• Improvements and enhancements to production equipment
• Cost reductions and cost avoidances
• R&D production trials
• Product performance testing apparatus and procedures
• Customer technical issues
• Customer training

Catty technical professionals regularly travel to customer locations to assist with new product start-ups, application training, and troubleshooting of technical problems.
